I want to become a labor and delivery nurse ?
I just turned 31 yrs old in Dec and only have a GED no college credits nothing. What would I have to do to become a labor and delivery nurse ? Where do I start ? What college classes do I take etc ? Am I too old to start ? please help and is there anything I can do online in terms of classes to help me because I need to be home for now ?
Check with your local community colleges they may have an ADN program Associates Degree in Nursing. Youll have to take a college placement exam to determine the level of certain classes you need to be placed in. Then you can register for the prereqs. Many are offered online now so that will be helpful. The advisor can help you with which classes to take. 31 is not too old. Im in the nursing program at my school and Im 30 and there are more people older than me than young people. Youre never too old to learn something new plus it will give you a good future for your family.
